He’s being flung back and forth throughout his past, reliving World War II battles, Avengers battles, family moments, his time on ice, etc., and he has to follow the script in every situation. And Captain America Reborn nails it, using Cap’s long history to remind us why he’s such a great character. We already knew that outcome, but what matters is how they get there.

This GL debuted back in the 1940s, long before the Hal Jordan version and the spacefaring Green Lantern Corps.
